Dudes, life is pretty great right now. My big bang's currently in beta, I've got kinkme_merlin and Sherlock prompts a plenty, and I'm hanging out with ![[personal profile]](https://www.dreamwidth.org/img/silk/identity/user.png)
nuclearsugars soon! I got some work on my quarter sleeve/big arm tat in early July, and I'm getting it finished next week, which for me is very exciting because I've been getting work on this piece since last summer.
But must return to SHERLOCK. OM FUCKING G. SHERLOOOOOCKKKKK. Okay yes, I saw those douchey interviews with Moffat and company (and wtf, Moffat, you wound me) but I am not convinced. When I'm trying to figure out whether or not a scene is really gay as hell, I try to envision one of the characters as a woman and say, is this was a guy and a girl, would it be read as sexual tension? And, um, Sherlock honey, your gay is showing. MOAR PLZ. I just saw the second one, and the gay continues. Amazing. I'm having tons of fic ideas already, in fact I've already started writing one.
Speaking of Moffat, while I was glaring at my big bang and trying to will it to finish itself, I mainlined the entirety of the most recent season of Dr. Who, which, by the way, I didn't know I was missing but now I don't know how I lived without! Dudes, I dress just like Eleven. It's uncanny, really. I swear I own the exact same boots he has, and I THINK BOWTIES ARE COOL TOO.
To complete my mostly old news tv watching, I just started watching the American Queer as Folk. And then, because I'm a shitty gay and fall prey to stereotyping, I googled Gale Harold to find out if he was a freal gay, and got the awesomest response:
"The actor Gale Harold who plays Brian Kinney on the U.S. version of the popular gay drama series is not a real life homosexual."
Is it just me or is that totally hilarious wording? What, like opposed to fantasy life? BTW, wikianswers, I do not believe in your shitty gender/sexuality binary, so suck on that. Ugh, how can the word homosexual sound so ridiculous, when the word homo is one of the words I most frequently use to describe myself?!
