As for the dialogue, when I first put pen to paper with this (and I do mean that, haha, I wrote the first bit out by hand) I was very nervous about trying to affect a manner of speaking that I wasn't completely comfortable with. I decided to just try not to think about making the dialogue particularly Holmesian, and instead try to make sure that the characters behaved in a way that would feel in character enough to make up for it. Then I looked up a few pages later and realized that once I stopped worrying about it, the dialogue flowed a bit better than I'd expected it to. Anyway I didn't mean to write you a novel about this, but I had some anxiety about the dialogue so I'm really, really glad you liked it!
